How to Find Business News at the Library

Business news covers a wide variety of topics, including economic trends, mergers and acquisitions, stock market updates, and management changes. It can be found in newspapers, magazines, television broadcasts, and online. Business news also covers topics that impact the entire economy, such as governmental policies and regulations, global trade, and international finance.

Many business news stories are framed around the three Cs: Expectations, Context, and Comment. The expectations section of a business story tells the reader what is expected to happen in the future, for example, “the stock market is expected to climb by 5% today.” The context section of a business story provides background information about the topic, for example, “a new law may affect how businesses collect data from customers.” Finally, the commentary section of a business story gives an expert opinion on the significance of the event or trend.

Different businesses offer a diverse range of products and services. For example, Amazon offers a broad selection of books on its ecommerce website, while Apple is famous for its innovative electronic products such as computers, phones, earphones, and watches.
